cooking with medicinal herbs?
Can you use the medicinal herbs chaste tree berries and hop in food recipes without losing their medicinal propperties. I f you can does anyone know any recipes, sweet or savoury.
In their powdered form, yes. It would probably be best to sprinkle & mix after the dish is almost ready to table. Neither herb tastes all that great. Hop is VERY bitter and can make you feel nauseated if too much is taken. It also is a nervine in the sedative family of herbs, so I’m not sure why you would WANT to place that in a food dish. Chaste tree berries, aka Vitex, is used to regulate female (primarily) hormones, so not entirely sure why you would want that in food either.
