Is there a link between the colour ginger and the spice ginger?
There’s a like between the word orange and the colour, just wondered it is the same for the word ginger, just seems a little odd, and ginger (the spice) isn’t ginger coloured…
When ginger is dry and in powered form though I think its a different color and ginger varies by variety as do other plants for example a maple tree may have green leaves or deep dark burgundy colored leaves and beans can be wax colored, green, or there are some that are purple until cooked. Some ginger looks orange in color.
